Professor Wonho Choe Attended 2026 New Member Plaque Presentation Ceremony of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST)​

Professor Wonho Choe of our department attended the 2026 New Member Plaque Presentation Ceremony of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, at the Grand Ballroom of The Westin Josun Seoul.
Election as a member of KAST represents the highest academic honor, conferred through a comprehensive evaluation of research excellence, academic and technological impact, and contributions to the advancement of science and technology both domestically and internationally.
Professor Choe is a world-renowned authority in plasma physics. Through research spanning both plasma physics theory and applied technologies, he has systematized plasma interaction and energy transfer mechanisms. Based on these achievements, he has made significant contributions to both the academic advancement and industrial application of plasma science, for which his accomplishments have been duly recognized.
With his election as a member of KAST, Professor Choe’s research achievements and scholarly contributions have once again received public recognition, and this honor is expected to further elevate the academic standing of our department.
