Undergraduate course waiver exam for fall semester 2018​

Application Period

Aug. 27(Mon), 2018 ~ Aug. 29(Wed), 2018 Three days

 

Application Procedure

Fill out the Course Waiver Exam Payment Bill downloadable through Portal Notice, or provided by Department/Division offices or Academic Registrar’s Team

Pay the bill at the Woori Bank

Submit the payment receipt along with the completed Application form to Academic Registrar’s Team(E11, 1st floor)

Although you fail to pass the waiver exam, it is not possible to register for the course you applied for the waiver exam after the course add/drop deadline(2018. 9. 3(Mon).

Please note that if you must complete the course on the Fall Semester 2018, you should register for it by the course add/drop deadline(2018. 9. 3(Mon) regardless of the waiver exam result.

For those who pass the waiver exam, Academic Registrar’s Team will drop the course registered and the waiver exam result will be recorded on transcripts.

Please be aware that you should register for at least 12 credits per semester (excluding courses to be dropped according to the pass of the exam), except for the last semester before graduation.

Aug. 30 (Thu), 2018 ~ Sep. 3 (Mon), 2018 Three days

Applicable Courses

Exams available for any courses offered during the Fall Semester 2018 with the instructor’s approval (except B.S. Thesis Research, Individual Research, Seminar, Special Lectures, Lab courses)

Those who are admiited in 2017 can take the Calculus I and Calculus II waiver exam in their first year only.

 

Tuition

Amount: 20,000 per course

Payment place: Woori Bank on campus

   Depositor's Name : Last 5 digits of your Student ID Number + Student's name

Payment Period : Feb. 26(Mon), 2018 ~ Feb. 28(Wed), 2018 Three days

 

Passing Criteria

Students will receive a grade for the exam in accordance with Article 49, Section 1 of the KAIST Academic Regulation, and those who get a B- level grade or above (conversion score: 78 point or above) will pass the course waiver exam.

 

Exam Period and Place

will be set after students consult with the corresponding course instructor

 

Announcement of the exam result

will be released on KAIST Portal
