UAE's Khalifa University Dept. of Nuclear Engineering Students' Field Trip at KAIST​

5 Master's Degree Program students and Professor Addad from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the UAE's Khalifa University and one ENEC scholarship student visited Korea from July 4, 2011 t0 July 15, 2011 and had lab tours and nuclear reactor hands-on training at KAIST and Kyung-hee University.

The students received practical training at the KAIST Department of Nuclear Engineering laboratory and visited KAERI, KINS, NETEC, and KNF from July 5 to July 6.

Afterwards, they visited Seoul and experienced Korean culture. Next, they completed nuclear reactor-related field training at the Kyunghee University Nuclear Reactor Center. Then they made a tour inspection of Kori Nuclear Power Plant, Doosan Heavy Industries, and Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The Khalifa University students expressed their gratitude for the field trip to President Suh Nam Pyo at a dinner on July 14, and showed interest in conducting a similar visit next year.

President Suh encouraged the students saying " I hope that these outstanding individuals can grow to become part of the highest leadership level in the UAE's nuclear energy future by working hard with the dispatched KAIST professors at Khalifa University.
