Prof. Yong Hoon Jeong awarded Prime Ministers award to recognize his contribution to the momentous nuclear power plant export to UAE.


Prof. Yong Hoon Jeong awarded Prime Ministers award to recognize his contribution to the nuclear power plant export to UAE last year. December 27th is designated as 'National Nuclear Day' by the government to celebrate the successful nuclear technology development and export to abroad.




Prof. Jeong contributed to the development of educational cooperation package between UAE and Korea which is essential for the successful development of nuclear technology of UAE. He set about the educational cooperation between Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR) and KAIST for the development of high quality human resources for UAE including nuclear engineers and researchers. The cooperation is one of the most important package for long term cooperation of both countries. To practice and boost the decade-long educational cooperation, KUSTAR-KAIST Institute was established and 4 professors of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering Department have been dispatched to the Khalifa University.
