The department of Nuclear and Quantum
Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites
applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions. The candidates must
hold a PhD degree or expect to receive PhD degree before the starting date. The
successful candidates should have demonstrated high- quality research experiences
and interests in the following fields and will be expected to actively
participate in developing and promoting education and research in the
department. Qualified international applicants are also welcome.
Health Physics (any research field including Radiation Biology, Medical Physics, etc.)
Nuclear Chemical Engineering (any research field
including Nuclear Fuel
Cycle, Radioactive Waste Management, Decontamination & Decomissioning, etc.)
Other Research Fields
related to Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science & Technology
The applicant should send his/her
curriculum vitae including a list of publications to the faculty search
committee. The applicants who pass the CV review process will be asked for a personal
interview at the department. The appointment is expected to begin on March 1,
2016, but it is negotiable. Startup funds of US$200,000 (the exact amount
depends on the research field) is provided by KAIST.
