The Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering of KAIST is accepting applications for the position of Department Head with the term starting March 1, 2021 for up to 5 years. The successful candidate will have a distinguished academic (or other relevant professional) career in the field of nuclear engineering and radiation science with extensive research experiences.

The Department of Nuclear Engineering at KAIST is one of the leading global nuclear engineering programs with 16 full time faculty members with annual research funding of US $1.3 million per faculty (on average). Its doctoral graduates account for about 60% of all Ph.D. work force in the field within Korea. KAIST is one of the leading science and technology universities in the world and has been selected Asia’s best innovative university for three consecutive years since 2016 in Reuters’ ranking of the world’s most innovative universities.
