I’m SeungHyeok Chung from Nuclear Fuel Material Laboratory (NFML, Prof. Ho Jin Ryu). I am interested in extending the scope of alloys applications. I am studying Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) alloys and focusing on oxide dispersoid formation mechanism depends on the Yttrium alloying method. In this research we suggest the effective way to increase the strength of the alloy by forming the nano-structured grain structure with homogeneous dispersoid distribution having coherent interface with matrix. The proposed method is expected to be able to solve a chronic problem of the convenience ODS alloy, having an inhomogeneous microstructure.
