Prof.  Seong, Poong Hyun was appointed as 'KEPCO Chair Professor' starting from March 1st, 2018.

Prof. Seong, Poong Hyun received his Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from MIT in 1987. He joined the faculty at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Korea, where he became a leader in nuclear I&C and human factor engineering field. He has published lots of papers in conferences and journals including 125 SCI papers.

He became a member of Fellow of American Nuclear Society(ANS) of nuclear science and engineering from 2017. He was president of Korean Nuclear Society from 2015 to 2016 as well. He served as a Technical Program Chair, General Co-Chair in several international conferences including the  TPC in NPIC&HMIT conducted by ANS.
